Common sense is natural and is not subject to the word. Though reason may make a lot of sense, the word of God must always overrule it. The word is greater than reason, because God is greater than man. The word is greater than reality. God stands behind His word to perform it.
The word is eternal, but reality is temporary. The supernatural is greater than the natural, the divine greater than the human. The invisible is greater than the visible.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things, which are seen, were not made of things which do appear.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The prayer of faith is based upon absolute certainty of the will of God. When you are wondering whether something is God’s will or not, you cannot pray a prayer of faith. The prayer of faith is not based upon hope, but on divine guarantees in the word. The prayer of faith is asking God to fulfill His promise. Jeremiah 1: 21
